His directing career has developed through his role as leader of the company Teatro Ni\u00f1o Proletario. Over its 15 years of existence, the company has focused the development of a unique artistic discourse marked by the themes of identity, territory, and memory. With this group, Guenel has created eight original productions that have been presented through Chile, South America and Europe.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a cultural curator, in 2007 he co-founded the performance festival Cielos del Infinito in Chilean Patagonia, which he led until 2013. Since 2013 he has collaborated with various consultants for festivals throughout Chile.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2014, Guenel held a residency at Theatre du Soleil with Ariane Mnouchkine. That same year, he had a Creative Residency in the Cit\u00e9 Internationale des Arts in Paris, on a fellowship from the Institut Fran\u00e7ais, and a residency in the Kunsten Festival des Arts in Brussels.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2017, he was invited by the prestigious Teatro Maria Matos in Lisbon to direct a work with students of the Scola Superior de Arte e Cinema, which premiered in June 2017 under the name SUL.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2019, he was named director of the Touring Theater Program by Chile\u2019s Minister of Culture, Arts, and Patrimony, presenting four of his works in 40 communities across 8 regions of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ha desarrollado su carrera profesional en las \u00e1reas de la direcci\u00f3n teatral y la gesti\u00f3n cultural. Su proyecto profesional como director de teatro lo ha desarrollado a la cabeza de Teatro Ni\u00f1o Proletario. Durante los 15 a\u00f1os de trayectoria de la compa\u00f1\u00eda, su investigaci\u00f3n ha estado centrada en la b\u00fasqueda de un discurso art\u00edstico propio con acento en los temas de identidad, territorio y memoria.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Con este colectivo art\u00edstico ha llevado a escena ocho espect\u00e1culos que se han presentado a lo largo de Chile, Sudam\u00e9rica y Europa. Como Gestor Cultural, el a\u00f1o 2007 co-funda el \u201cFestival de Artes Esc\u00e9nicas Cielos del Infinito\u201d en la Patagonia Chilena, en donde se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 hasta el a\u00f1o 2013. Desde el 2013 a la fecha ha colaborado con diversas asesor\u00edas para festivales de diversas regiones de Chile.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El a\u00f1o 2014 realiza una pasant\u00eda en el Theatre du Soleil junto a Ariane Mnouchkine. El mismo a\u00f1o, realiza una\u00a0 Residencia Creativa en la Cit\u00e9 Internationale des Arts Paris \u2013 Beca Institut Fran\u00e7ais de Paris y una Residencia en el Kunsten Festival des Arts \u2013 Bruselas.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El a\u00f1o 2017 es invitado por el prestigioso Teatro Maria Matos de Lisboa a dirigir una creaci\u00f3n con j\u00f3venes de la Scola Superior de Arte e Cinema, obra que se estren\u00f3 en junio 2017 con el nombre SUL.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">El a\u00f1o 2019 es el director del Programa Teatro Itinerante del Ministerio de las Culturas, las Artes y el Patrimonio de Chile, presentando 4 de sus espect\u00e1culos en 40 comunas de 8 regiones del pa\u00eds.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Luis Guenel Soto is a Chilean theatre director and cultural curator.
