Ha abordado la escritura teatral, la dramaturgia para la danza y la \u00f3pera.<\/p>\n<p>De sus textos teatrales destacan <em>Costas de Hielo<\/em>, <em>La Bilis Negra<\/em>, <em>Proyecto\/Fausto<\/em>, <em>Polen<\/em>, <em>Calias, tentativas sobre la belleza<\/em>, <em>Hombre acosado por demonios ante un espejo<\/em>, la \u00f3pera <em>Lamentaciones<\/em>, coautor\u00eda con el compositor Cristian Morales Ossio, y <em>Vertebral<\/em>, trabajo de dramaturgia en tiempo real, junto a la bailarina y core\u00f3grafa Macarena Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>Actualmente es profesor asociado del Departamento de Danza, de la Facultad de Artes de la Universidad de Chile, donde se desempe\u00f1a en las \u00e1reas de creaci\u00f3n y teor\u00eda e historia del arte esc\u00e9nico.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rolando Jara<\/strong> is a playwright, with a Ph.D. and M.A. in Literature, and a B.A. in Aesthetics.<\/p>\n<p>As a playwright, he has been selected five times for Chile\u2019s Muestra de Dramaturgia Nacional (National Playwriting Showing). His plays have been produced in Chile, Germany, Mexico, and Argentina. He writes for theatre, dance, and opera.<\/p>\n<p>His works for theatre include: <em>Costas de hielo <\/em>(Shores of Ice); <em>La bilis negra <\/em>(The Black Bile); <em>Proyecto\/Fausto;<\/em>\u00a0<em>Polen <\/em>(Pollen); <em>Calias<\/em>; <em>tentativas sobre la belleza <\/em>(attempts at beauty); <em>\u00a0Hombre acosado por demonios ante un espejo <\/em>(Man Accused by Demons Before a Mirror); the opera <em>Lamentaciones, <\/em>co-authored with composer Cristian Morales Ossio; and <em>Vertebral<\/em>, a work of playwriting in real time, created together with dancer\/choreographer Macarena Campbell.<\/p>\n<p>He is currently Associate Professor of the Department of Dance in the School of the Arts at University of Chile, where he works on the creation, theory, and history of the performing arts.<\/p>\n<p><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n<p><br \/><br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Rolando Jara es dramaturgo, Doctor y Mag\u00edster en Literatura, Licenciado en Est\u00e9tica.
